But, it is important to be aware of the risks associated with overexposure to the sun. UV rays are the number one cause of skin aging and excessive exposure is the main cause of skin cancer.
Protecting your skin from the sun is therefore essential, whatever our age, phototype or gender.

To choose your sun protection, 2 criteria should be particularly looked at: the SPF and the UVA protection index.
The SPF indicates the level of protection against UVB, responsible for sunburn.
The UVA protection factor must be at least ⅓ of the SPF protection, thus protecting us against damage caused by UVA such as allergies, photo-aging and cancers.

Use sun protection: On a daily basis, you can apply sunscreen with an SPF (Sun Protection Factor), both in summer and winter. The higher the SPF, the higher the percentage of UV rays blocked. We generally find face and body treatments containing SPF ranging from 15 to 50+. It's up to you to choose based on the sensitivity of your skin, the season and your phototype. The lighter and more sensitive your skin is, the higher SPF it will need.

Apply generously and regularly: Applying large quantities of sunscreen is crucial. For example, for the face, it is recommended to apply the equivalent of 2 knuckles. Be sure to reapply every two hours, especially after swimming or if you experience excessive sweating.

Avoid exposure during the hottest hours: The sun's rays are strongest between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. If possible, limit your exposure during these hours or seek shade when outdoors.

Focus on after-sun: Hydrate your skin after exposure to the sun with products full of moisturizing and nourishing active ingredients. This will allow your epidermis to better protect itself and accelerate skin repair in the event of a slight sunburn.

Before exposure to the sun, we recommend that you exfoliate your skin regularly , 1 to 2 times a week.
